Noah loved watching the tropical fish. He liked the 'nemones' (anemones) and coral the most, I think.
Scheels has all kinds of fun backdrops for playing and picture taking. Don't you love that? They ENCOURAGE picture taking at their store! Here's Noah pretending to camp.
Noah shows no fear, even with a grizzly bear behind him!
The boys getting ready for a little off roading.
And I feel like this one is just a red neck Christmas card in the waiting: "Merry Christmas from our little stinkers."
Noah was excited for his first ferris wheel ride. When the ferris wheel stopped at the top, he looked out the big glass windows and said, "Wook Mom! I see da mountains!" He loved looking down and waving to Nate and Luke. I loved experiencing something so simple with him for the first time.
After a ton of fun at Scheels we drove to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Noah is pretty into dinosaurs.
It was fun hearing him name so many of them all on his own, like stegosaurus, 'ceratops' (triceratops), brachiosaurus, tyrannosaurus rex, pteranadon...he knows a lot of them, and I love hearing his little two year old voice say such big words!
There was so much to see, and I see a few more visits to this fun place in our future.
There's Luke in the stroller again.
He seems to like whatever his big brother does, so I'm betting he'll be a bit of a dinosaur guy too.
The museum also has an exhibit on loan from the Exploratorium in San Francisco called Tinkering.
Noah really enjoyed the hands on activities there.
And Luke just loved practicing his standing skills. I can't wait to see him walk on his own -- he's so close!
We sure squeezed in a LOT of fun before lunchtime! Luke was desperate for a nap so we headed back to Gram's house. Nate and Noah went out for a little lunch together and I visited with Doris, Kathy and Julie.
Kathy is the CEO and founder of Mothers Without Borders. She has been a mentor and dear friend. Doris, Julie and I got very close on our first trip to Zambia. These ladies are incredible sewers and have done SO much in Zambia to help women learn to sew and, therefore, provide for their families. I was so grateful to spend the afternoon with them, and it was a great way to finish off our trip.
We spent the evening with Gram, packed up the car and tried to get some sleep before our alarm went off way too early. What a great trip. I loved being together with Nate and our boys. I love that we were able to show them so many new things. And I love that we celebrated Gram. It was the perfect vacation!
