I didn't get what I wanted.

Months ago, before the holidays even came around, I predicted that Noah would walk by Valentine's Day. Surely, he'd make it by then, right?

That gave him over 14 months to become a walker. I thought it was a realistic (and generous) expectation.
Well, the day has come and almost gone and we still have a very content crawler.
We see signs that he's getting closer, but the idea of letting go of everything is still just a little too scary. He's just a big, heavy kid and this mommy is anxious to do some hand holding as her little buddy walks instead of all of this carrying!
Now I guess I'll hope for progress before St. Patrick's Day. He's definitely in big trouble if I have to wait until Easter!

If it makes you feel any better, my nephew didn't walk until he was 17 months. He was so content crawling and had 2 older sisters to carry him around. Those darn boys can be so dense though. I hope for your back he becomes interested soon!

I laughed so hard when I read this post! I'm voting for St. Patty's Day for your sake...but if it doesn't happen and you need someone to help you out and carry him for a while please, please, please send that little stud muffin in my direction!

Oh Dinah, I thought about you all day yesterday and I never even let you know. So sorry. I though about it and even made an attempt, in my 5 minutes of free time, to send you a FB message only to realize that you aren't my friend. I'm gonna look you up and invite you this minute!! I hope you had a fabulous birthday. I sure do love you and miss your fun self. BTW, Noah is so stinkin' cute!!
